When I arrived at the field the temperature was 1 BELOW zero, but that didn't stop 104 paintball fanatics from really getting it on at Kelly's Hero's. The battle to capture the second key at the Remagen Heavy Equipment Bridge was a classic, and the German resistance was so stiff, I wasn't sure the Americans would ever take the position. The third key in the Reichstag was no picnic either, (the Reichstag never is) and the German defense was so tough, Fets recommended one player for the Iron Cross (details will be on the Commendations page)
The assault to capture the Bank followed, and I'll bet 100,000 paintballs were fired as the Americans and Germans locked horns during this 40 minute encounter. (I got hit by about 20 of them) We finally asked both sides if they wanted to discuss a truce and split the loot in the bank, and were promptly told, in so many words, to "mind our own business". The end result was the Americans captured the Bank, and all the prizes, in just under 2 hours. THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY and see you all at Blackhawk.
There are some great pictures of this event on the FORUM.
